[N.A!] Project’s first Academy was held in Kassel during documenta and involved around fifteen artists, including Frédérique Aït-Touati, Elisa Strinna, Julia Mandle, Ackroyd & Harvey and Aurélien Gamboni. For five days, group members from a variety of disciplines shared and compared their ways of working and creating. The group also explored how it portrayed the world, and asked which was better: a dystopian or a positive vision? Strong bonds were forged between the various artists, thanks in part to the active participation of Chus Martinez, deputy artistic director of documenta (13) under Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev.
